Honeycrisp waited for me after work, when I finished at 22:30. It was dark and raining. I had gathered my things from the locker room and was on my way up from the elevator, when I ran into my manager and one of the cashiers. They were asking if I wanted an Airmiles promotion because it was currently running. I declined and ran out of the store, into the mall, looking for Honeycrisp. I caught a glimpse of him before I lost him in a crowd of people. I rushed in, but couldn't find him. I gave up, and just before I took another step, he found me.

It was dark and rainy. He lead me through China Town. I asked if he'd tried pho before; he didn't respond. We stopped in front of a door of a store that looked abandoned for a long while. It use to be a place he enjoyed before it closed.

Soon, we arrived at a Japanese restaurant whose specialty was soup. There were a variety of vegetables and meat in containers, and broths, spread across a counter top. Confused, I watched him put together these items in a bowl, then add the soup base. There weren't anymore bowls, so I asked the owner for help. He walked me through making my own bowl of soup.
