20260219

I was on a mission with Jim Caviezel, who was probably his character Reese from Person of Interest. He was in his signature black suit and his hair had become silvery-grey. I had dark skin, like dark chocolate, and long, red hair that flowed in waves. Our mission was to protect a little Asian girl, about the age of four or five, from enemies who were attempting to kidnap her.

We got separated. Knowing the girl is safest with him, The Man in the Suit took her with him. The pursuers followed them into a train car full of golden straw. He fought them off, while on the phone, and succeeded without shooting anyone in the kneecaps. The little girl hid, hugging her stuffed bunny.

I was interestingly dressed for our sunny winter. I wore purple, reflective sunglasses and a silver peacoat that reached the top of my over-the-knee, caramel-coloured, high-heeled boots. I travelled to the town square of a small town to find information. There was a tall, black gazebo there, with speakers, playing random music. I crossed the gazebo, ending my call with Reese, calling him, 'Starry-fox'. I carried a leather-spined book with research and information relevant to the child. As I walked along an empty road, I let my guard down and a black, gloved hand clapped over my mouth as I dropped the book. I noted an asterisk drawn on the spine in silver marker as I tried to free myself. The last lyrics I heard from the speakers before I blacked out were, "I'll fiddle with my horse until you break it," sung by Shakira.

20230903 I signed up for American Idol, and was following Howie Mandel around long, concrete-painted white hallways in order to get to be ready for my performance. At one point, he turned to me and and told me to pick up “these trays” (they were lime green) and bring them to the judges panel. They were snacks for them.

I passed the audition, where I sang a song by Three Doors Down, and upon learning today that I was on the next round, I had to find another song to sing. I was decided on "Love” by Megan Heise and the Hired Guns, but it was a song that disappeared from the internet.

20230827 I don't remember the first dream very well. Cookie and I were at his family's cottage with his other family circles. One family cancelled because one of their members wwre infected with COVID-19.

I'd entered the main room where everyone was seated. To my surprise, the family with a COVID member was there, happily chatting away with everyone. I felt conflicted.
-----
Cookie and I were with his aunt and uncle. We were at a lobby with wooden panels as walls, and lighting was dim, as if it were a steakhouse or a sauna.

The Japanese hostess approached me. She was dressed in a pretty, red kimono with her hair tied in a neat ponytail. She asked if we would like to have dinner there. I looked at everyone else to see what they thought.
Cookie's uncle responds, “yes, sure. Let's have dinner here.”
“It will be $300 per person,” the hostess said.
I tried to add it up in my head, realizing it was dinner and a Kabuki show. I nervously wanted to change my mind because it was too expensive.

----- naptime
I went on a walk ny a pier with Cookie, Shortbread, my 4 year old nephew and his mom. He was running, misbehaving and tripped, breaking his ankle. Be he didn't cry. His mother was frantic, getting a splint and black electrical tape from her purse and wrapping her kid from head to toe as I sat aside and watched.

While I knelt by them, I thought it was ridiculous how she was wrapping him, but she has a recent First Aid certification. I also noticed I recognized the song the live band played from a stage looking down on us on this sunny day.
I bobbed my head, clapped my hands and raised a fist at the appropriate time to the song. It was “Harlem” by New Politics.
When the kid was ready, he and his mom wennt with emergency personnel, while Cookie, Shortbread and I agreed to walk to meet them somewhere. As I walked, a gust of wind blew a thin, lacy, burgundy dress with long sleeves and tangled it around my legs. I was about to let it continue blowing on its merry way until I saw the pricetag still attached - it was $1,353.00. I checked the label, and it was black, cursive letters on a beige background.
I decided to find the store it came from, and when we walked back a little, there wasn't a clothing store nearby.
“I guess I keep it,” I said, in awe of my luck.

20230620 Somewhere in the countryside with a small group of strangers, Cookie's sister's family, and Spritz, we were led into a cave that went underground. There were zombies around that periodically came out of the many cavern paths, and we lost many of our group to them.

I remember crawling in the dirt, in a narrow passage, with a lantern in my hand. Everyone with us had one that they held as high as they possibly could with the low ceiling and away from the dirt to avoid extinguishing the flame in them. Spritz was with us. We were being led to the safety room underground and we had to take care our lanterns didn't ignite the grasses and gasses surrounding us, or we'd explode.

I remember a scene vividly. I heard music and I wandered into a room with mud walls. I found Spritz listening to an old record player - a phonograph. When he saw me, I told him I liked his music - rock - and he said I could pick a record to play. I flipped through his collection and chose one with a blue cover, like an image underwater. He put it on, and as it played, I felt relief from the tenseness of being underground and being surrounded by zombies. Spritz put an arm around my shoulder, and I gingerly put one around his waist. I felt touch-starved and so did he. When Cookie came looking for me, we let go, pretending nothing happened. The song had the softness of Lifehouse's “I Wish You Were Here.”

20230301 I visited my ChocoChip's new home. The living room was more like a long hall. At the far end was a white grand piano, with rows and rows of pews before it, like in a church. Cookie and I sat in the far back, a row before the last, as we waited for ChocoChip's daughter's piano recital to begin.

Behind us, David Tennant sat with his legs crossed and arms folded over his chest. His sharp suit was dark blue with pinstripes. John Barrowman was leaning from behind his seat, whispering something and giggling. I was in awe and too shy to speak to either of them.

At some point, I asked ChocoChip if there was something I could help her do, as relaxing is not something I know how to do. She gave me the task of baking frozen pizzas. Her oven was the sand-coloured, cheap model from The Sims 4.

20230204

I went to a cottage with Cookie and his family. I brought us a meal I cooked for us and his cousin was cooking breakfast. His three year old nephew came to me, wanting to play, but I had to eat breakfast, I said. He was cooked some seitan bacon and it was placed in my plate on top of pork bacon. I got up, asking for another plain plate to transfer the bacon and wondering if it's still okay for him to eat because he's vegan. When his cousin finished cooking breakfast, we all took our plate and sat down. They were completely filled with perfectly round meatballs and I struggled to keep them on my plate. As I sit down, the mearballs fall off my p;ate and onto the bench we all sat on. As I picked up my food, I heard the television play, “I Want to Spend My Lifetime Loving You” from the Zorro movies with Antonio Banderas and Catherine Zeta Jones.

Finishing my shift at a retail store, I left the store, and exited into the sunshine. It was sunny and beautiful by the beach. I shaded my eyes with my hands and saw Oliver Queen waving me over. In his arms was his three year old daughter and he wore a red, unbuttoned Hawaiian shirt with lavender Bermuda shorts. His wife was sitting beside him building a sandcastle with another child of theirs.
I ran towards them and he gave me a hug. Looking behind me, he said, “look who's giving you goo-goo eyes still.”
I look and see crowds of people exiting the way I came and Honeycrisp staring at us. His hair was long and tied back and wore relaxed suitwear.
“You think?” I asked rhetorically.
“Uh-huh.”
Honeycrisp ran to us and said something I don't remember as Ollie received a call.
“We've got to go,” he said, as some crystal shapes zoomed out of the sky snd into our hands, except Honeycrisp's. I waved goodbye as we were teleported away.

Monday, May 27, 2019

I had finished work and GrannySmith, and another girl worked with us. We closed the shop, which was a small bakery, and exited, looking for the fourth employee who worked with us. This girl was Samoan and overweight, but despite her nanny-like clothing, she was absolutely beautiful. I watched her stuff her feet into white high heels many sizes too small - her feet overflowed as if it were a cartoon.

Everything was underground; we never saw sky. We all entered the subway which had huge, metre-long, cream, laminate tiles. Everything was covered in this tile: the floor, the walls, the staircases and banisters. On the subway platform, I chatted with the other girl who had shoulder-length brown hair; GrannySmith had gone elsewhere. We hopped aboard the train that arrived. She lived on the last stop, and I had to meet Cookie who went out with the rest of Pfeffernüsse's groomsmen for some pre-wedding fun. On the second last stop, GrannySmith jumped on our train; she left earlier to do something. She talked about shoe shopping, and I thought about it too.

We made it to the end of the line. There was Cookie, waiting for me at the platform; he was waving goodbye to the group. I left the train with the girl and GrannySmith to join him. I don't remember how we were notified, but we weren't allowed to get back on the train or leave the station. Death appeared before everyone. He was seven feet tall, and his body and face were covered in a blood-coloured cloak. In one hand, he carried a shiny scythe. I watched him allow select people on the train, and the train leave back the way it came. Cookie was allowed on, and I watched him go.

The train came back the next day. There was sky above us and we weren't underground anymore. It was cream, like the subway tile, and hazy. My brunette friend said she forgot something on the train, and Death let her enter. I heard her scream, "ouch!", and a couple of minutes later, came out with an orange plastic bag in hand. Death studied her for a moment, then pointed to the train telling her, "go." She handed her bag to me and hastily obeyed. The train left for the day.

The train came back again the next day, and GrannySmith and I watched people get on, though we weren't allowed ourselves. I questioned why these people were allowed to enter the train. If Death was among us, I assumed the train led back to our everyday lives; I wanted to be on the next train. I opened the orange bag. Aside from an empty, white box, there was a pamphlet with a drawing of a woman breastfeeding. Her nipple was erect and exposed. Did my friend get hurt breastfeeding, and is that why she was allowed to leave? It didn't make sense to me.

This day, the train wasn't in the station. Death had gone for a little walk. There were pine trees surrounding us. The sky was still cream. GrannySmith was still here, and by now, the extrovert in her had died. In an instant, Death leaped over trees, bounding as quickly as he could to the few on the platform. "It's time."

He stood close to me. I bowed my head and closed my eyes as he hummed a rhyme repeatedly. Everyone seemed to know they lyrics except I. I hugged him and he hugged me. His bony hands ruffled the hair at the back of my head, then gently sliced it off with his scythe. My anxiety began to run through me. He sliced another handful of hair. I felt my heart drop, as if the beginning of a heartbreak, and my chest heaved heavy as I started to sob. His hands pulled my remaining hair into a neat bow on the top of my head.

The last line of the rhyme I heard before waking up was, "we are going to die."

Thursday, June 28, 2018

I was at work, at a grocery store. One of my best mates at work, Honeycrisp, came to me and gave me a warm hug in greeting. I hugged him back and in the silence, I realized screamo was playing through my headphones. Embarrassed at my taste in music, I pulled away, saying I'd see him later.

I got to my station at the front, but found everyone at the registers were gone. I looked in another area and found everyone seated on the floor and listening intently to the person standing alone at the front. Everyone from the store were gathered and I didn't want to interrupt so I stayed in the back. I felt regret not following Honeycrisp earlier and I imagined he was near his department. When I found a spot to sit, a tall woman in a black, midi-length dress, and long, black wavy hair strutted in as if she had authority. Eyeing me, she walked past, stopping short of the end of the row before coming back. I looked up at her and she put her hands around my head. Her long, bony fingers were polished in black as they covered my ears.

"You'll do," she said. Her blood-red lips curved sinisterly upright.

I felt something pulled away from me, but I don't know what - it could be my soul, or an essence of something... I felt it pulled out like a slow breeze being pulled from my body, starting from my heart. It was warm at first, but it cooled, and I was left depleted and confused.

I had two dreams that were related.

I was at an event with my parents at my family church. Even though the location's space was smaller, there were still the same amount of visitors. They had a guest speaker today, and because I arrived late, I had to operate the projector via a computer. During the sermon, the speaker called for those who lived east of a certain city. My mother called me over, and as I walked, everyone's eyes were on me. She told me to join the group kneeling pm the carpet at the front. One of the church's older members, and another child member were kneeling, so it seemed like a game to me. I knelt with them, my head fully on the carpet before me, and wrapped my arms around it, covering my sight. I heard a tinge of my favourite song in the background, and as I heard more, I realized it was Rev Theory's "Far From Over" playing, muffled through the walls. Worried, I left my ipod touch playing, I got up (and I woke up from this dream).

*** *** ***

Lying in bed at my husband's and my apartment, I heard "Far From Over" through the walls. The song changed quickly before the guitar riff began, but I still had to find its source. I wanted to give whoever it was with the music something, so they'd play it. I followed my ears to the balcony. Down below, on the street, a group of boys were dancing to rock music. The doors squeaked as I opened them, and they heard me. One of the boys had a boom box on his shoulder, and he waved to me and I waved back. I rushed to get ready and watch them on this grey, winter day.

Sunday, January 6, 2013

I was in a car with Cookie and his mom. We were headed to his cousin's university because he forgot a banner for a dance performance he was participating in. It had already started when we arrived. Cookie's mom gave one side of the banner to Cookie to hold and ran across the stage to the other side. I didn't see it, but I heard Cookie start cracking up. The song ended soon (which was "Rolling Girl" by Wowaka, sung by Akiakane). He told me at the end that his mom stopped in the middle of the stage in front of the dancers during the performance with the banner in hand. I didn't understand why that was so funny, but it made me so happy to see him laugh like that.

I was with Wafer and Shortbread on a boardwalk on a warm summer dusk. We followed the edge of the beach where stores and sidewalks have been erected and small, outdoor shops sold things on the sidewalk. They were old and used items, much like a flea market. There was also a musician that we passed who played an acoustic guitar. We followed the stores to the end then came back to have a second look at the merchandise. Part of it had the atmosphere of the first day of university, when students would be carefree and loaf about. When we reached the guitarist again, he stopped us and chatted, asking something like why didn't we stop to listen to him- people like him need a show of love. So, I gave him a hug, but he wanted people to stop and listen to him.

Monday, May 14, 2012

I was with my cousins in someone's room. Lamb and I found blue, Hersey's Kisses and divided it between ourselves. Behind me, sitting by the window, was Lion. He was trying to learn how to play Chopsticks on the keyboard he sat beside. He played off-key. I tried playing it to show him, then his sister, Tiger came and tried playing with me. (strange dream, as Lion is a music composer and a great musician on the piano).

I was at the mall with Shortbread, her sister and Wafer. I needed to go to the washroom so Wafer showed me a secret way to a washroom. It was a sketchy path, and dirty. I didn't have my glasses with me, so it was difficult to see where on the blue-tiled ground was wet. I feared stepping on pee. I didn't like this toilet, so I wandered deeper to find a cleaner one. It was a difficult path and was very unfruitful that I returned and decided on the first toilet. Just when I was about to go, a door on the opposite side of the room opened and a man came in. We both panicked in seeing each other, but he was the first to calm down and turn away. I was too scared to go, so I left and told the girls outside I'll hold my urine. We went to a thrift store of used items; the first area we visited was the book section. I found an old thick book on a comic book. It was the complete comic set. I went through the shelves more and found a small binder of a girl's agenda. It had a puffy, Magic School Bus cover. I showed it to Shortbread before flipping through the pages. On one day, "learn how to be a celebrity" was sprawled over the top.

I had a wonderful dream. At first, I was at a home of a family who lost a daughter in a flight. She was an adult, or almost one. Even with their loss, the family decided to go on vacation to forget their pain. They went to Mexico, and upon arrival, they went to a restaurant. Some of my family and friends were there. Since our group was huge, we were divided into three tables, my table being the people my age. I ordered nachos, but I ate with a fork. Our server was an old lady with grey hair. As she was clearing our plates, she asked us whose cooking did we enjoy the most. We pointed to an empty plate beside us and she said, "Oh, Nenna. There's her name under the plate." Sure enough, a slip of paper was there with "Neie T." printed on it. My table got up to leave, but I asked for the washroom. My cousin's girlfriend pointed straight outside the door. I walked into the sun and to the next building. The washrooms were divided by male and female and were only a single room for each. Since the woman's room was occupied I only needed to wash my hands, I went into the men's room, propping the door open to show it was still free. A short boy lined up behind my door as I was soaping my hands; I forfeit the washroom with soapy hands waiting for the woman's room to open. When it did, Wafer was inside. I quickly rinsed my hands and together we joined our small group waiting for us under the Mexican sun.

This is where things got a little funky. I noticed a guy in a group with tanned skin and white blond hair. I studied him and he gave me a smile, but in any case, I thought he was adorable and attractive. Our group was much smaller now- about six members. Wafer and her boyfriend, this smiley dude and I, and two others, one of which could be Shortbread. The tanned dude was Axel Krom of Shortbread's and my Project E.P.I.C, but during this dream, it never occurred to me. He knew this land and where to go, but he told us there was somewhere he needed to visit first. By foot, we walked through patches of dirt, where the hot sun dried up the grassy vegetation. There were a few shops set up like stalls, but they were on the main road, as we walked on the hills. We arrived at a row of six or so headstones and Axel knelt down in front of the third or fourth, saying a prayer while holding a small hand full of red pony beads. I was intrigued watching him before the slab of stone. I couldn't read the text on it either- it wasn't in our alphabet, nor looked anything similar. When he finished, he threw the beads on the stone and we walked a distance to another row of six headstones. He repeated this ritual again, and at the last row of headstones we went to (a total of three rows). I had a book with me, and with each headstone and hand full of beads, I picked up a bead and hid it inside my book. Axel caught me on the third headstone, giving me a playful hug from behind and saying they were for his family. Now without plans on where to head next, I turned to Wafer and asked if she wanted to go find some anime merchandise, but Wafer said "no" as she shook her head. We continued walking, drifting where the road would take us.

Despite being a long walk, it was marvelous, though I think it was the rush of hormones and the feeling of a crush that made it fun. Somewhere along the time we walked, I was as certain as Axel was that we fancied each other. I wore a Pandora bracelet that (by boyfriend in reality, though in the dream I was single) gave me and I feared it would be stolen once we reached a place densely populated. I took it off to hide in my canvas, red bag, but Axel grabbed it and ran ahead, laughing. I chased after him, begging him to give it back, and after a short distance, I said I'd trade him a kiss for it. He agreed and through that kiss, I had two thoughts: 1) Maybe I should have saved our first kiss for something romantic like night time, and 2) an article I read about the swap of pheromones through kissing and how a person could tell who is attractively compatible like this- and he was my type. He gave my bracelet back and we caught up with the rest of our group who left us behind due to our public display of affection.

Around night fall, we came to a show or festival with an Arabian theme to it. I noticed we were now surrounded by sand, rather than the dried dirt and sparse grass. The show area was interesting. It was rectangular and large in shape with a roof held up by many, thick columns. The centre of the rectangle was dug out deeply so there was a ridge above the bottom floor. The stage was downstairs and to one side of the dug out space, and in front of it were many chairs. The others wanted to sit close to the performance, which was possibly a mix of singing, musicians and dancing, but Axel and I stayed on the top layer, looking down towards the stage and beside one of the thick columns. There were blankets where we were. Axel laid down, putting his hands behind his head and I snuggled with him under a blanket as we listened to the stage. I asked him whether he thought it was strange we quickly fell into love and he replied no. He believed that there is a parallel planet to the one we're living on now, the same size and shape, as well as rotation and on the same orbit. He said he believed there are the same people as us on that other planet who fell in love as well, and it was their destiny as much as ours. I believed every word of it.

I wanted to show off or have some fun in a practice session. I stood in a circle with a few others playing stringed instruments. We were playing a classical song, but I was playing "White Reflection" by Two-Mix (one of the songs from Gundam Wing Endless Waltz), and it fit into the harmony as if it was naturally part of the song. I was playing a violin, but there was at least one bass/cello player. When we finished playing, the group started packing up to leave. I turned to my friend, who stood to my right, and asked her if she heard something different about the song today.

Shortbread and I went to the same school. It would end when the sky went dark, and I walked with her to her home. I lived not far fro her. The houses were narrow and tall, and I was singing a song from Anberlin on our way home.

I was at a marketplace at a desert area looking for someone. I went to a man seated on some steps. He was looking for an item that someone else held. I walked until I met another man and we travelled the road out of the city together. As we walked, he took out an item and called out an incantation. The item created a whirlwind, which showed a view of a rocky area; another place in a desert. I yelled something along the lines that he was an idiot, and the man who was seated earlier appeared and tackled the man I travelled with. He also seemed to call him an idiot.

There were two parts to this dream. I've completely forgot the first part, but I was alone in the second part.

I was walking to a forest area to avoid crossing paths with someone who I can't remember. I passed a group of girls and went to my dorm house. I turned on the music player. The first song, I didn't want to listen to so I changed it. The second song, I chose to listen to. The lyrics were something like, "I love her, I love him." When these songs played, there was a hologram visual that appeared of the singer singing from the music video. The singer was African; she was neither Rhianna or Beyonce, but she was a popular singer. She had short hair and the voice of Brandy. She was kneeling and was sad as she sang. I hugged her as I thought, "I know how you feel."

I can't remember it well. I was at school.. Don't know if it was university or not, but everyone had to go outside because of a threat in the building. We gathered at the front entrance. Konny was there, though I didn't talk to him. He was the only familiar face in the crowd of people. It was raining outside. I also remember something about "[Sorairo Days]"-- The theme song of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. It occured to me that I should've set my phone message receive tone to say, "Row, row, Fight the powah!" just to show off..

The real date of this dream is lost. I dated this dream by approximation.

My sister and I waited in my dorm room which was part of the school. We packed our bags, and I waited for the delivery man to show up. While waiting, our cousins made a surprise visit but I had to leave still to go to the library with the delivery man. When he came, my sister didn't want to go. Turns out the delivery man was the drummer from the band named "Anberlin". He spoke with a lisp-- I thought, maybe that's why he doesn't sing. He brought textbooks to my room after the library. My sister sat there; we talked about something and she said it was my fault for it. I said, "no it isn't, but I'd rather not go into details about it." I felt smart and left. The delivery man brought in more books so I left to help him. On the way, in the hall, a man also moving books said something like, "Oh great! Are you helping too?" I did something that signaled "yes" and kept walking. One of Cookie's friends from college, one of African descent, saw me. He walked up to me and said something in street slang. We talked as we walked; I couldn't figure out what to say, forgetting the words I wanted to express with. I asked him what it meant, and he said,"oh.." and smiled, and started to explain but stopped when we reached the staircase to the front entrance and reached the top. Cookie was standing there with his books, about to go to class. The sun from the outside lit him from behind, as it was a nice and sunny day. When he saw me, he ran to the exit doors, opened one, as if playing. I ran and opened the one across from him. He still playfully smiled, waiting for me to move. I reached into my back slowly and tried to take my camera out from its case but he heard the velcro rip and dashed outside with me chasing him, laughing. Though my laugh was eerie sounding; they were sounds of "he he he..", each letter pronounced clearly.

* Anberlin is one of my favourite music bands.
* It's unfortunate that the 'blame game' is commonly played in my house. I endlessly hate it with the rage of a thousand suns.

Tuesday, March 10, 2009

I don't remember much, but we were in someone's bedroom. Someone else was there besides Cookie and I, and they asked if we heard "[Ready, Set, Go!]" by Tokio Hotel. They took out some kind of playback device and played it.

Saturday, February 21, 2009

My family was at our old apartment home; my dad was in the bedroom and my mom was outside. My sister and I were in the living room trying to assemble a hot tub kind of bathtub. My sister put food in the microwave, and because you could put something under the microwave to cook food, I also put something in that compartment. She didn't know I put something there. We left the food to cook while we assembled. When we couldn't figure the bath out anymore, my sister said she would take a bath in it first. As she did I looked through our old boxes of stuff. I found old toys and picked up one that was my sister's. It required batteries and I didn't think it would work, but it started singing "You're my honey bunch, sugar plum...". My sister finished finally and I showed her the toy. I saw the microwave in flames, and there weren't any fire alarms sounding. My sister ran to try and open it. I gave her a spatula to pry it open when she tried with her hands. I gave her a cup of cold water to cool her fingers 'cause that's what I thought our mom would do. My sister opened the door and yelled at me, "you're not suppose to put two things in!" She was talking about the food. Our parents came in and started yelling at her, but I kept crying and yelled to put the blame on me 'cause it was my fault. It was always my fault.
